Global demand for utility-scale storage batteries continues to rise, and delivery capability has become a key differentiator among leading suppliers. On October 15, HITHIUM held a ceremony at its Chongqing base to mark a new milestone: cumulative battery shipments exceeded 200 GWh. This comes just over one year after the company passed the 100 GWh mark in 2025.
From 100 GWh to 200 GWh in Just Over a Year
The jump from 100 GWh to 200 GWh is more than a doubling of volume. It reflects the company's full-chain capability from cell manufacturing to system delivery. HITHIUM started mass production of storage cells in October 2021 and reached its first 100 GWh in August 2025. The second 100 GWh took only about a year, showing that its technology, smart manufacturing, supply chain coordination, and global delivery system are working as one engine.
The Chongqing base is the world's first lighthouse factory for storage batteries. HITHIUM has used this site to build a local supply chain ecosystem and push toward large-scale, high-quality, integrated production. For global customers, the result is steady supply of large volumes with consistent quality.
A Long-Term Bet on Long-Duration Storage
HITHIUM has focused exclusively on energy storage since its founding. Among global battery suppliers shipping at GWh scale, it is the only one dedicated solely to storage. More importantly, the company has kept a clear lead in long-duration storage.
From 587 Ah Cells to Native 8-Hour Storage Systems
In 2022, HITHIUM began investing in long-duration storage technology. In 2023, it launched a thousand-ampere-hour class storage cell and system. In 2024, it released the ∞Cell 587 Ah large-capacity cell. In 2025, it introduced what it calls the world's first native 8-hour long-duration storage solution.
This sequence shows that HITHIUM is not just following the market. It is trying to define the product form and system standard for long-duration storage.
Integrated Value Chain and Smart Manufacturing
Competition in the storage industry is no longer a single-cell spec race. The real battleground is integrated capability across materials, cells, systems, delivery, and after-sales service. HITHIUM's approach relies on two pillars.
Lighthouse Factory and PPB-Level Defect Control
The Chongqing lighthouse factory uses AI across its full production flow to improve safety, performance, and cost control. In Shandong, HITHIUM built the world's first integrated park for long-duration storage, connecting upstream materials, cell production, and system integration. With micron-level precision and zero-defect management, the company controls cell defect rates at the PPB level, which means one defect per billion cells. This discipline forms the quality foundation for shipping at the 200 GWh scale.
Global Delivery and Localized Service
HITHIUM's overseas strategy is not a one-size-fits-all model. The company adapts its products to local grids, climate, and energy usage patterns. Today, its integrated storage solutions have been deployed in more than 40 countries and regions. The on-time commissioning rate stands at 100 percent. Local teams and nearby service points enable fast response, and the service process is fully measurable.
What's Next: Aiming for Global No.1 in Storage Brand
At the ceremony, HITHIUM co-founder and president Wang Pengcheng said that 200 GWh is not the finish line. It is a new starting point for high-quality, global growth. The company will continue building on innovation, system strength, and responsibility, with a clear ambition to become the world's No.1 storage brand.
This also means the storage market race is far from over. Global competition, supply chain resilience, product reliability, and localized service will remain the main battleground for leading players.
