The first lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) material pilot production base in the United States was put into use. Israel's ICL invested 20 million US dollars to accelerate the localized production of LFP batteries and seize the initiative in the energy storage and electric vehicle markets.
On April 2, local time in the United States, ICL Group, an Israeli specialty mineral company, announced that its BMIQ
lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) material pilot production base in St. Louis, Missouri, was officially put into operation. This is the first facility in the United States dedicated to the research and development and production of
lithium iron phosphate battery materials, marking the accelerated transformation of the North American new energy industry chain to high-safety, low-cost battery technology.
